Each plan has a limit on how many books can be in your library at the same time:
| Plan | Books |
|---|---|
| Free | 3 |
| Pro | 50 |
| Scholar | Unlimited |
Only books currently in your library count. When you delete a book, its place frees up straight away, so you can import another one. The starter book counts like any other book.
Books you add from a file, a web page, pasted text or Project Gutenberg all count the same way.
If you try to add a book while your library is full, the import stops and tells you why. You can delete a book you have finished, or upgrade on the pricing page for a larger library.
If you move to a plan with a smaller limit, you keep every book. Books over the new limit are marked Archived and open in read-only mode: you can still read them, but highlights, notes, bookmarks and AI explanations are paused for those books. Upgrading again restores them.
Text imported from a web page is kept for 30 days. After that the book shows an Expired badge. Open it to import the page again.
