Delete a book or your account

Delete a book

Open the book's menu in your library and choose delete. The book leaves your library at once and its place towards your library limit frees up. Its highlights and notes go with it. This can't be undone.

The stored file, the text and anything made from it, such as guides and saved explanations, are erased shortly after 30 days. To erase them now instead, tick Also erase the stored file and images now before you confirm.

Flashcards and quiz results made from the book stay until you delete them or your account.

Delete your account

1. Go to Settings, then Privacy.
2. Choose Delete my account.
3. Type your email address to confirm.

Any active subscription is cancelled straight away, with no refund for unused time, and you are signed out.

Changing your mind

Your account is erased permanently after 30 days. Until then, sign back in and choose Reactivate my account: your books, notes and settings come back as they were. A cancelled subscription does not, so to get paid features back you need to subscribe again.

What we keep

After the 30 days, a few records remain for a limited time: backups for up to 7 days, and billing and security records with your name, email and IP address removed. The law requires some of these. The privacy policy lists each one and how long it is kept.
