AI limits per plan

Each plan includes a monthly allowance of the two main AI features:

When it resets

Allowances reset on the first of each month, at midnight UTC. Unused allowance does not carry over.

What counts

• A new pre-reading guide counts as one guide, whatever depth you pick.
• Each explanation, and each follow-up question, counts as one explanation.
• Only answers you actually receive count. A generation that fails or comes back empty is not charged.
• Single-word dictionary lookups use no AI and never count.

Regenerating a section of a guide does not use your monthly guide allowance. It has its own limit per section, shown on the guide.

Running out

We let you know before you reach a limit. When you do reach it, the feature tells you and offers an upgrade. Everything else in Read Master, including reading, highlights, notes and dictionary lookups, keeps working. Compare plans on the pricing page.
